What a Year: A Look Back at the Restaurants that Opened, Closed and Made News

Written By Scott Joseph On January 2, 2018

Notable Closings and Reopenings
Pharmacy — The Restaurant Row speakeasy was shuttered and then reopened several weeks later with new owners, who retained chef Loren Falsone.

Ravenous Pig and Cask & Larder — The Pig closed its original location and moved in with sister restaurant Cask & Larder just up the road, then promptly kicked out C&L, which then moved to Orlando International Airport (available only to those with security clearance to the airside terminal it’s located in).

Planet Hollywood Observatory — Downtown Disney’s rebranding to Disney Springs also brought the rebranding of Robert Earl’s movie-themed eatery. This one embraces its cinematic leanings.
