Tony’s Deli Closed

Written By Scott Joseph On July 9, 2014

Tonys exterior

Tony’s Deli, the longtime Middle Eastern eatery that has been in the Mills 50 district since before it was called Mills 50, is closed. Calls to the restaurant are greeted by a recording saying the phone is no longer in service.

A neighbor says the owners have obtained property in Sanford and will be moving the business there. Update: The sanford restaurant is open and has been doing business at 129 W. 1st St.SIt would seem a logical thing to direct callers to the new number or at least put a sign on the door.

Although my own experiences there were never better than just OK, many people in the area were ardent fans of the hummus and sharwarma.

More on the Sanford location if and when it opens.
