A Pop-Up Event with 10 Sous Chefs from Our Top Restaurants

NEW Rioja copyOur next Pop-Up Event will celebrate the up and coming talent of the sous chefs who cook in some of out best restaurants.

Come meet the sous chefs from such great restaurants as Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort; the new Txokos Basque Kitchen; Emeril’s Tchoup Chop; and Cask & Larder as we celebrate the culinary stars of tomorrow. And some of them are bringing their bosses to help out! Check out the entire list here.

And all of the dishes will be paired (in some cases tripled and quadrupled) with wines from our good friends at Rioja!

We’re calling it “Sous Chefs, Road Food and Rioja” and it will take place Wednesday, May 21, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $85 plus tax and proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund of the American Federation of Chefs and Give Kids the World.

Now as you know, I usually keep the location of the Pop-Up a secret. But in this case the location is what is driving the road food connection. We’ll be taking over the showroom of the Orlando Harley-Davidson dealership off of I-4 south of downtown. This is going to be one terrific party. You may even get to experience the thrill of riding a Harley!

This link will take you to the events page where you can learn more details and snag yourself some tickets.

Supper Club at Siro: Urban Italian Kitchen

The next Scott Joseph’s Supper Club is at Siro: Urban Italian Kitchen at the Mariott World Center on May 17. The folks there have put together a tantalizing evening of cocktails, wine and creative Italian cuisine. If you missed it, here is my review of Siro from last year.

We’ll start with a cocktail reception in the bar, then go through the kitchen to the Garden Deck for a wine-paired dinner. This meal would usually cost $122 plus gratuity. But thanks to the largesse of Southern Wine and Spirits and Sidney Frank of American Harvest and Jager Spice we’re offering the evening for $80 plus tax — inclusive of gratuity! And even better, proceeds are being donated to the Children’s Miracle Network.

There’s even an option for Supper Clubbers who want to spend the night!
