Something new at Epcot’s Party for the Senses

Written By Scott Joseph On July 30, 2009

Saturday night special events will be themed this year and feature a VIP area

So I’m looking over the official guide to the 2009 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which after years of whining, needling and cajoling on my part is finally posted online, and I notice the day-to-day schedules don’t list the Party for the Senses on Saturdays. Looking further I found a separate page for them (they are still on every Saturday during the festival) and I notice a couple of changes.

For one, each Party is now themed. They start on September 26  with Celebrating Spanish Cuisine.

Others include:

  •  October 3 – Celebrating Comfort Foods With A Twist
  •  October 10 – Celebrating South American Cuisine
  •  October 17 – Celebrating Classical Cuisine
  •  October 24 – Celebrating Asian Cuisine
  •  October 31 – Celebrating The Fall Harvest
  •  November 7 – Celebrating Italian Cuisine

But then there’s another twist called the Wine View Lounge, identified as “an exclusive area within Party for the Senses where you can see and be seen!” It includes private reserved tables, premium bar, an artisanal cheese station and more. All for a $75 upgrade. That’s on top of the $135 Party fee. And admission to Epcot is not included (but required). I’ll tell you more as I learn it. In the mean time, here’s a link to the Epcot Festival Guide.

If it hasn’t gone to press yet maybe they can correct the spelling of artisanal.
