Shantell’s Cafe, the Sanford soul food restaurant, is closing January 17. According to the cafe’s Facebook page, owner Shantell Williams is looking to relocate but does not yet have another spot secured. No reason for the closing was given, and a call to the restaurant’s published number gets a recording saying the phone has been disconnected. So there’s that.
Shantell’s current location is 417 S. Sanford Ave.
