New Date for Supper Club at Emeril’s Tchoup Chop

tchoup1

Scott Joseph’s Supper Club at Emeril’s Tchoup Chop at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m.

Chef Ryan Vargas and the team at Emeril’s TC have planned an exciting evening that will begin with a sparkling wine reception at the tiki bar with a sushi rolling demonstration. You may even get to try your hand at a hand roll. And the seated dinner will feature an all-sparkler pairing. (I attended a dinner in New York recently that featured champagne with every course — this is a big trend right now.)

The value of the dinner is $185 but it’s being offered to Supper Clubbers for only $125 plus $7.50 tax. And gratuity in included. Only 30 seats are available for this exclusive dinner. E-letter recipients (that’s you) get first crack at tickets. Click here to see the menu and wine pairings and to puchase your ticket to this very special dinner.

Where to Enjoy Easter Brunch

Easter Sunday is a big day for brunches. (Maybe that’s why it’s almost always on a Sunday.) Not quite as big a brunch occasion as Mother’s Day, but it’s probably a close second.

Therefore, reservations are all but mandatory. Really, you don’t want to just show up at a nice restaurant wearing your best bonnet and be told there are no tables available for you. Learn from my experience, it’s embarrassing.

So take a look at some of the restaurants in our Easter list, make a selection, and give a call post haste. There are some of our favorites on there, including the Tap Room at Dubsdread (whose crew is also serving at Apopka’s Highland Manor this year), Caribe Royal and Hilton Orlando, and some notable newcomers, such as the Alfond Inn and the terrific Highball & Harvest at the Ritz-Carlton.

Also at the Ritz is something called the Cottontail Tea, a high-tea affair with appropriate crumpets that is available on both Saturday and Sunday, April 4 and 5. That’s TWO opportunites to show off your bonnet.

Check out the list here.
