Promenade at Sunset Walk offers outdoor dining and entertainment

I’ve told you about Estefan Kitchen and Capone’s Coal Fired Pizza recently, but I thought I should tell you more about their location, Promenade at Sunset Walk, a newcomer to the flog.

Promenade at Sunset Walk is similar to Pointe Orlando, but with better parking. It’s a collection of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues in a walkable outdoor setting. But something else that sets it apart is that it has a regular roster of events, including a weekly Artisan and Farmer’s Market, outdoor live music concerts and a Show Car Saturday Nights featuring both classics and modern vehicles.

But let’s talk about the restaurants.

Besides Estefan Kitchen, which is owned by the singer Gloria Estefan and her husband, Emilio, and Capone’s, a second location for a Ft. Myers restaurant, there is a collection of eateries, some familiar, some new, with an array of cuisines. Among them:

  • Yeoman’s Cask & Lion, a British themed restaurant – fish, chips, bangers, mash, pies of sheherds – in a space under a massive replica of Big Ben, which actually bongs on the hour.
  • Flower Cafe, a bakery offering fresh breads and pastries as well as breakfast and lunch sandwiches. (This is in the space that had originally been planned for Cafe d’Avignon.)
  • Ford’s Garage, a burgermonger in a circa 1920s service station atmosphere. I reviewed another FG in the area and really liked the food.
  • El Jefe’s Tequila Bar, with over 250 tequila options and a Mexican menu.
  • BurgerFi, for quicker burgers and other goodies.
  • Bento Asian Kitchen + Sushi, the popular Florida-grown Japanese restaurant.
  • Rock & Brews, craft beers and comfort food served to a rocking beat.
  • Bahama Buck’s, with shaved ice and smoothies.
  • Cold Stone Creamery, the ice cream store with mix-ins.
  • It’s Sugar, a modern day candy store.
  • River Street Sweets, serving pralines and saltwater taffy.

There’s also the Studio Movie Grill, an eat-at-your-seat cinema with an American grill menu, a full service bar and waiter service throughout the show.

And while you’re strolling around, you may across the hut where SiriusXM’s Radio Margaritaville broadcasts. (I’m told the DJ always has a bottle of tequila on hand.)

The Promenade at Sunset Walk sits in front of the Margaritaville Resort on Highway 192 (map). Don’t let that address deter you; this is the stretch of road adjacent to Disney property, easy to get to from Interstate 4 and U.S. Highway 429.

Most of the restaurants have outdoor seating and also offer takeaway and curbside service, so you can go out and stroll around, listen to some music, then dine in or take some food home. Check out the schedule of activities and watch for some special events during the holidays.
