Pop-Up Dinner will Feature the Chefs of East End Market

 East End Market

One of the most anticipated culinary events of 2013 is the opening of the East End Market, a gathering of chefs, purveyors and food professionals all under one roof. The market, which will occupy a former church on Corrine Drive in Orlando, is not scheduled to open before April. But attendees of this special Pop-Up dinner will get an exclusive preview of what it will feature.

Because it is an on-going construction site, East End Market will not be the location of the dinner. The actual location will be announced to ticket holders on Friday, March 1, one day before the dinner. Hint: it will be within a two-mile radius of EEM’s eventual home in Audubon Park.

Participants in the dinner include:

  • Rhys and Alexia Gawlak, owners of Cuts & Craft Artisan Meats. (If you’ve had the charcuterie at Ravenous Pig, you’ve had a taste (but only a taste) of what to expect.)
  •

  • Jamie McFadden, chef at BarJme and co-owner of Cuisiniers Catering.
  •

  • Henry and Michele Salgado, Txokos Kitchen. The Salgados own Spanish River Grill in New Smyrna Beach. This new restaurant will focus on the cuisine of the Basque region of Spain.
  •

  • Elisa Scarpa, Fatto in Casa, Italian for made in house. Expect some incredible sweets.
  • The dinner will feature five courses, each paired with wine.

    Date: Saturday, March 2, 2013

Time: Wine and hors d’oeuvre reception at 6:30 (optional tour of dinner location; yeah, it’s going to be in a place you’re really going to want to check out)

    Place: To be announced

Cost: $95 per person plus $6.18 tax: $101.18. Gratuity is included. Prepurchase is required.

Seating is limited to the first 80 guests.
