Outpost Neighborhood Kitchen in College Park will close permanently after Sunday, June 28, after five years in the Edgewater Drive location.

It had planned to move to a new location in Maitland that is still under construction. Owner Julie Casey says she still plans to reopen the restaurant there though a completion date has not been announced.

The closing of the College Park location comes earlier than planned, but Casey said in a message, “I can’t sustain a business on $300-$400 nights.”

In a note to her customers, she wrote: “ I hope you will support my colleagues; owners and chefs of small restaurants as they continue to struggle to remain open. If you can’t financially support them, you can share their info on social media, call in words of encouragement, and urge others to dine at their establishments.”

Outpost will continue to serve Tuesday through Sunday this week.
