I’m pleased to announce that the next Scott Joseph’s Dinner Party will be at the esteemed Rocco’s Italian Grille & Bar in Winter Park. The date is Thursday, March 7, and we’ll gather for a reception at 6:30 p.m. with seated dinner at 7. Tickets are $175, including tax and gratuity, and may be purchased by calling the restaurant at 407-644-7770.
Our host, the chef and owner Rocco Potami, has put together a delectable five course dinner, each selection paired with a perfect wine. Here’s a look at the menu:

Arancini: Sicilian specialty Arborio rice formed into a ball stuffed with truffles served over a white truffle cream sauce.

Butternut Squash Ravioli: Butternut squash ravioli with butter-sage sauce topped with winter truffle shavings.
Viberti ‘Il Pubblicano’ Dogliani DOCG
Tuna Beurre Blanc: Seared sushi grade tuna served over beurre blanc sauce and topped with micro greens.

Filetto Rossini: Beef tenderloin cooked to perfection topped with patte of fois gras in a Madeira wine reduction served over a toast of bread.

Rocco’s has been serving some of the finest and most authentic Italian cuisine in Central Florida for more than 18 years. I find myself getting back there too infrequently, but each time I’m always impressed with the high quality of the food, the professionalism of the service and the graciousness of Potami as host.
