SJO Dining Deal: $40 of Food and Drink at Raja Indian Restaurant for $20

ragabl I recently told you about Raja Indian restaurant on Sand Lake Road’s Restaurant Row. It’s a big, elegant restaurant with Indian cuisine that is so good I’ve named it my new Indian favorite. I want you to try it, too, so the owners of Raga have authorized me to offer this special SJO Dining Deal: $40 of food and drink at Raga for only $20. This is a terrific opportunity to try this wonderful new restaurant — or a good reason to return if you’ve already been.

And since I wrote that review, Raga’s executive chef has introduced an extensive menu of Indo-Chinese dishes, a specialty of Kolkata, India. You can read about Indo-Chinese cuisine here.

You may purchase up to four certificates at this extraordinary price — please no more than that as the number of certicates available is limited. Get one for yourself and maybe another to give as a gift. (The certificate has only the value on it, not the purchase price, so the recipient doesn’t have to know you got a great deal!)

Get Ready to Pop Up with the Chefs of East End Market March 2

   East End Logo

Are you ready for the next SJO Pop-Up Restaurant experience? We had great fun at the first one, which was held in the fish processing room of Gary’s Seafood in downtown Orlando. The next one is going to be a lot of fun, too.

I think just about everyone who likes good food and restaurants is excited about the new East End Market. EEM will bring several chefs and food purveyors under one roof to Corrine Drive in Orlando. You can read more about East End Market here.

The development, however, will not open until at least April.

So I’ve gathered some of the chefs who will have a presence at East End to be a part of the next SJO Pop-Up on March 2. This will be a unique opportunity to get a preview of one of the most anticipated culinary happenings of 2013. (I’ll parse out some more details about the chefs as we go along, but I can tell you that Henry and Michele Salgado of Spanish River Grill in New Smyrna Beach will be there to preview their new Txokos Kitchen.)

I’ll have more details soon, but I won’t reveal the actual location of the Pop Up until the day before the event. (Hint: it will be within a 2 mile radius of East End Market’s eventual home.

The ticket sales will be announced in the next SJO Newsletter, so watch your inbox — seating will be limited.
