As I teased back in July, BB Junction is vacating the original 4 Rivers Smokehouse location on Fairbanks Avenue and a taco concept is moving in. 

Hunger Street Tacos has been operating as a catering unit for the past two years. The owners hope to achieve with tacos what John Rivers did with barbecue. (Indeed, a brisket taco is one of their featured menu items.)

BB Junction opened at the address in 2012. 

Rivers originally opened his then-new barbecuerie in 2009 and quickly outgrew the space, a former service station at 2103 W. Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park. Also, the popularity of 4 Rivers caused problems with parking, with hordes of diners roaming the surrounding neighborhood looking for spaces.

Of course, Hunger Street’s owners would love to duplicate that problem.
