As I told you last month, Field to Feast, the popular annual foodfest held on the grounds of Long & Scott Farms in Mt. Dora, is going on this year even though sponsor Edible Orlando is currently out of production as it transitions to new ownership. EO’s original publication team of Kendra Lott, Katie Farmand and Pam Brandon have reteamed with the event’s co-sponsor, Walt Disney World Resort, and its chefs to continue the Field to Feast tradition.
And now we have the lineup of Disney restaurants whose chefs will be cooking under the farm’s pavilion. They are:
- California Grill
- Port Orleans Resort
- Be Our Guest Restaurant
- Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Hollywood Brown Derby
- Narcoossee’s
- Toledo
- Flying Fish
- Port Orleans Resort
What’s more, Brandon said the start time has been moved up to 2 p.m. because “Epcot is going to do a fab appetizer course pre-opening of the stations.”
Master sommelier George Miliotes (Wine Bar George) has signed on again to match the foods with the proper wine. Or beer. Or cocktail.
Field to Feast is Sat., Feb. 10, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $195 per person and can be purchased at Edible Orlando’s website. (FTF has sold out every year previously, so don’t wait on this.) Proceeds benefit Second Harvest Food Bank Kids Cafe, an after-school meal service program that provides food to children in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties.
If you’ve never been to a Field to Feast event, watch the video below from a previous year to get an idea of what to expect.
Thanks for sharing. I read many of your blog posts, cool, your blog is very good.
