Special SJO Dining Deal to K Restaurant Benefits Edible Schoolyard Project

 Edible Fonzo

Kevin Fonzo, the owner and chef at the popular K restaurant in College Park, has long been involved in the Edible Schoolyard Project at Orlando Junior Academy. Fonzo teaches kids how to grow fresh food in the school’s garden, then shows them how to cook them up into tasty meals. It’s a really great project, and you can read more about it here.

To help the school raise money for a new kitchen teaching facility, Fonzo has authorized me to offer a very special SJO Dining Deal. For every certificate sold, SJO will donate $1 to the OJA Edible Schoolyard Project. And Fonzo will match it!

This is different from SJO Dining Deals in the past. There are three levels of Deals, each requiring a minimum purchase. You can see the details on the Deal by clicking this link to the SJO Dining Deals page.

This offer has a limited number of certificates available, and they’re sure to sell out quickly. Of course, as a recipient of my e-letter, you have first chance to call dibs.

Supper Club Saturday at Wolfie’s Will Include Tutorial on Salumi

Wolfies Chef Jason

Our next Scott Joseph’s Supper Club will be at Wolfie’s Pizzamia and will feature a primer on “breaking down” a whole hog and turning those hog parts into salumi and sausage.

Chef Jason Schofield will show us how he produces fresh and hormone free products that go onto his pizzas and into his pasta dishes. It promises to be an enlightening dinner.

I want to stress to you that this is NOT a pizza dinner. Schofield has put together a wonderful menu of Italian specialties. You won’t be disappointed.

If you missed it, here’s my review of Wolfie’s Pizzamia.

We’ll meet at Wolfie’s Pizzamia, 1905 N. Orange Ave., Orlando, on Saturday, April 20, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets to the dinner are $75 plus tax ($4.86); gratuity is included. Seating is limited to 50 Supper Clubbers, so purchase yours now.

Click here for instructions on how to purchase your ticket to the dinner.
