Dinner on the Hoof: Trend for 2011?

Written By Scott Joseph On December 31, 2010

portable_grill_1With the way Americans go inexplicably crazy for any foods served on four wheels, I have to wonder if this vendor I spotted in Berlin’s Alexanderplatz will be the next big trend to replace food trucks. It’s the ultimate portable grill, with the cook wearing the cooking surface. He’s able to move about, and even has an umbrella built into the harness to keep the rain, snow or sun off of him. And the wursts.

Even if this doesn’t catch on in the States, you can use it to help yourself have a Happy New Year. Just keep saying to yourself that no matter whatporta_grill_2 your situation is you don’t have to stand around wearing a portable grill and selling brats to people to make a living.

Happy New Year.
