The inspirationally named Burger & Beer Joint has opened on University Boulevard near UCF. It replaces Culpepper’s, the ill-fated sports bar restaurant from the former football star. 

I had intended to tell you more about Burger & Beer Joint, such as what the burgers are like and whether or not the beer arrives cold. But after sitting for 10 minutes at a table without being greeted by a server — not even an “I’ll be with you in just a moment” — I decided I had had enough of the sticky flooring under my seat I got up and left. And the place was only about a quarter full. A cheery young woman at the host stand thanked me for coming. So at least there’s that.

Not sure I’ll go back. Doesn’t seem like they’re all that interested in my business.
