BoiBrazil in Winter Park is Closed. For Now. Maybe Longer.

Written By Scott Joseph On December 29, 2017

Boibrazil logoBoiBrazil in Winter Park is closed, perhaps temporarily, perhaps not.

The restaurant, a second location for the churrascaria located on International Drive, will “reopen in January,” according to a man who answered the phone at the I-Drive restaurant. (The Winter Park location’s phone seems to be disconnected.) However, according to a Winter Park source, the space on Lyman Avenue has a “for lease” sign on it. So, maybe a good spot for a pop-up restaurant that only wants to operate for three weeks?

More likely, it’s closed permanently. Previously, the Winter Park restaurant was Nelore, also a churrascaria featuring all-you-can-eat grilled meats sliced at the table by skewer-wielding gauchos. Really more of a concept for Tourist World than Park Avenue.

Although the name of the restaurant sounds like the title of a salacious magazine, boi is the Portuguese word for ox. So, makes sense.

A lot more sense than putting a “for lease” sign on a restaurant you plan to reopen in a month.
