We have space for one more couple – or two singles – for our December 2-5 culinary trip to New York City. But hurry, the booking window will close at the end of next week.
And I have some more information to share about our itinerary and some of the restaurants we will dine at.
Our opening night dinner will be at Sparks, one of the city’s quintessential steakhouses. It has a bustling and clubby atmosphere and it’s loaded with history (and just a bit of infamy).
Another dinner will be at the renowned Balthazar, Keith McNally’s French brasserie just steps off of Broadway.
And speaking of Broadway, our cooking class at DeGustibus on the top floor of Macy’s in Herald Square, will finish early enough that you can book a Broadway show that evening if you’d like. (We can even help you with the tickets.)
I had already mentioned that we’ll be having lunch at the iconic Oyster Bar in Grand Central Terminal (following a private tour of the legendary transport hub). And our farewell dinner will be at Le Bernadin, Daniel or Le Pavilion.
(All restaurants are subject to availability and may change, but replacements will always be of the same tier.)
And don’t forget the food tours of Little Italy, Chinatown and Greenwich Village. (I think we can fit in a visit to Zabar’s, too, if you’re up for it.) We also have choice orchestra seats for the Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular, featuring the Rockettes. I know it sounds corny, but it really is spectacular, and if it doesn’t get you in the holiday mood, nothing will.
