We’ll be seeing a lot of yearend reports about what’s in and what’s out in the culinary and adult beverage worlds — indeed, I’ll have my own report soon. What will be interesting is to see if there is a trend in the, um, trends.
Here’s the report from Urbanspoon, the restaurant listing site. You’ll recall that recently we went over the list of Urbspoo’s top restaurants in the country. Many of you questioned the veracity of that list, and wondered about the methodology that went into its creation.
None of that is cleared up in this latest post — the article’s writer lists percentages to back up her findings, but doesn’t say what they’re percentages of — but I’m sharing it with you anyway.
I found it interesting that kale is listed as being so last year (at least for next year). I was sitting at the food counter at ABC Kitchen in Manhattan the other day and the two women on either side of me both ordered the kale salad — and nothing else. Perhaps they haven’t read this memo yet.
