The Fifth is Closed, Will Reopen as Vyce

Written By Scott Joseph On May 2, 2014

the-fifth logoThe Fifth, one of the V Group’s downtown concepts, is closed for remodeling. The flog has learned that it will reopen as Vyce. The reconceptualization, apparently, involves removing the kitchen, so look for Vyce to be another downtown lounge or nightclub but one without food.

That’s a shame, because as I mentioned in my review of the Fifth, it made a pretty good burger, as well as some other items that reached beyond bar-food level.

In truth, the Fifth was also a lounge, but it was nice to have one that attempted to also offer some worthwhile food.

All of the V Group’s concepts have a V in the name, including the Fifth, whose logo was the Roman numeral V. They also operate Vintage Lounge, Vixen Bar and NV Art Bar. A call to the group’s office was not immediately returned.
