Terramia Winebar Trattoria Closing Saturday

Written By Scott Joseph On January 25, 2013

Word comes from Rosario Spagnolo, owner of Terramia Wine Bar Trattoria, that he is closing the restaurant tomorrow and will relocate a “new Terramia concept” to nearby 1150 Douglas Ave., Altamonte Springs. Essentially, Spagnolo told me, he will combine the Terramia Winebar Trattoria menu with that of his pizza concept in Lake Mary, Terramia Brick Oven. The new restaurant, when it opens, will be called Terramia Brick Oven in Altamonte. Spagnolo is hoping to open by the end of February.

Terramia was an Italian favorite of mine, receiving the critic’s award multiple times when I was leading the Foodie Awards at the Sentinel. Spagnolo has been involved in many restaurant projects over the years, including the first iteration of Bravissimo, when it was located on Howell Branch Road in Winter Park.
