St. Patrick’s Day Wine Walkabout at Citrus Restaurant

atalon-home-logoInstead of the usual green beer bash that many venues will be offering on St. Patrick’s Day, Citrus restaurant is hosting something a little different: a St. Patrick’s Day Wine Walkabout.

Calm down, calm down — there won’t be any green wines, either in color or taste profile. Citrus is teaming up with Linda K. Sullivan, the Wonder Woman of Wine whose official title is fine wine specialist for Noble Wine Estates. She’s bringing in Brian Kosi, winemaker at Atalon Winery in Napa Valley. He’ll be bringing three of his award-winning wines.

To pair with them, Citrus chef Lucas Reid will put together three food stations — it’s a walkabout event as opposed to a seated dinner — including what he’s calling a true surf and turf, with scallops, rabbit, clams, duck, lamb and venison. (Heck, that’s not a surf and turf, that’s a Noah’s Ark.)

Tickets are $50 per person plus tax and gratuity, but how about this? I’m offering two free tickets to the event. I’ll have a drawing tomorrow (Friday, March 13) at 2 p.m. Same rules as all of our drawings, with the winning email address chosen from among the subscribers to the SJO e-letter.
