Update, 10:15 a.m. Feb. 10: This deal is now LIVE. Click this link to go to the Deal Page.
I have a very special SJO Deal exclusively for readers of Scott Joseph’s Orlando Restaurant Guide. It’s also a little unusual, a different sort of Deal than what’s been offered in the past. It’s a one night, special preview dinner of City Fire, the new restaurant from many of the people who previously brought you Pebbles and Harvey’s Bistro. The private preview dinner will be Thursday, February 17, 2011, before the restaurant officially opens to the public.
You’ll be the first to see the newly renovated space and to sample the menu, which has been designed by Tony Pace, the chef who created such local favorites as the Nutty Cheesy Salad, Thumbits and Chicken Vesuvio. In fact, you’ll find some of those and other old favorites on City Fire’s menu, but with a few twists to make them new.
Here’s how this is going to work. I will open the Deal up sometime tomorrow morning, Feb. 10. The announcement will go out to newsletter recipients first (another advantage to being on the list; if you’re not signed up, click here). The certificates will $50 of food and drink from the restaurant’s full menu for a purchase price of $25 (tax and gratuity not included).
City Fire will be open the evening of the 17th only for those who have purchased this special SJO Deal. Reservations are mandatory. Seatings will be from 5:30 to 10 p.m. and assigned on first-come, first-served basis. The regular rules will apply. I’ll have more details tomorrow, but I wanted to give you a heads up that this unique SJO Deal is coming. Stand by!
