Reuters is reporting that Orlando Based Darden Restaurants has reached a deal to sell its Red Lobster chain of seafood restaurants to Golden Gate Capital for $2.1 billion in cash. Golden Gate is a privately held enterprise whose investments include California Pizza Kitchen and On the Border restaurants.
