OpenTable, the online reservation pioneer, has released its list of the Top 100 Restaurants in America for 2015. Norman’s at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando is one of only three Florida restaurants to receive the distinction. Collage Restaurant in St. Augustine and Circle Brunch – The Breakers in Palm Beach were also recognized.

The list is based on an analysis of more than 5 million reviews submitted by diners who made reservations through OpenTable at over 20,000 restaurants across the country that subscribe to the service. Victoria & Albert’s, for instance, or any of the restaurants at Walt Disney World for that matter, would not be considered because the resort has its own reservation system.

Norman’s, of course, is worthy of the distinction. Chef and owner Norman Van Aken is arguably Florida’s most celebrated chefs. Early next year, Van Aken is expected to open Norman’s 1921 in Mount Dora. One expects reservations may be made through OpenTable.
