More Park Avenue News

Written By Scott Joseph On March 12, 2012

I reported earlier about some closings on Park Avenue. Now here’s word about a new restaurant that may be opening soon.

The owners of 310 Park South are planning to take over the space recently vacated by Spice Modern Steakhouse and open a restaurant called blu. (Yes, without a e and all lowercase.) Joanne McMahon, 310’s owner, says it will be a seafood and steak concept with a “fusion of East Coast and West Coast Food, from California to New England.” McMahon says the restaurant will be unlike anything that is being offered on Park Avenue. She says she got the keys to the space on Friday and is hoping to have blu open in four months.

Also, look for a burger restaurant to open in the former Orvis space at the foot of Park Avenue near Fairbanks Avenue. More details later.
