With the beginning of Lunar New Year just a few days ago, perhaps it’s fitting that Michelin Guide’s announcement Wednesday of the Central Florida restaurants that will be added to the Florida guidebook this year are all Asian.

Of the 19 additions for the Miami, Orlando and Tampa guide, five are from Greater Orlando. They are: Zaru, Sushi Saint, Natsu, Camille and Chuan Fu.

The restaurants are currently listed as “new” and recommended on the Michelin website. Chefs and owners will learn whether they will be listed as a Bib Gourmand restaurant or if they will be awarded a star during a ceremony April 18 in Tampa. (The Michelin team sort of tipped its hand last year as to which restaurants would rise above the “recommended” designation by not inviting those who would not.)

You can see the full list of Florida additions, as well as restaurants honored the past two years, at michelin.com.
