Lake Mary Caffe Positano Now Caffe Venice

Written By Scott Joseph On April 11, 2012

Caffe VeniceCaffe Positano in Lake Mary has been sold. The new owners are in the process of changing the name to Caffe Venice. (The name change is so new that a man who answered the phone today still said, “Caffe Positano.”) The Positano menu is still intact, apparently, and no changes are planned in the foreseeable future.

The Lake Mary Positano was a second location for the Apopka Caffe Positano (third, if you follow the history all the way to the beginning, in 1991, when the Caffe Positano guys were involved in the Positano on West Colonial Drive in Ocoee, now closed). The Lake Mary Caffe Positano opened in 2002. The Apopka restaurant remains, as do Positano pizzerias in Sanford and College Park. I reviewed the latter exactly one year ago.
