K Hosts Arrowood Winemaker at Tasting

Von der mehdenK restaurant in College Park will offer a special tasting of wines from Arrowood, featuring winemaker Heidi von der Mehden. Arrowood is a Sonoma County winery, and von der Mehden is a former chemist (she taught high school chemistry in Tanzania while serving with the Peace Corps.) who decided to apply her chemistry skills to the science of winemaking.

The tasting will be held in K’s garden (or on the porch if it rains) and will include dishes prepared by chef/owner Kevin Fonzo to pair with the wines. Cost is a ridiculously reasonable $25 per person, not including tax and gratuity. Reservations are required. Call 407-872-2332. K restaurant is at 1710 Edgewater Drive, Orlando.
