October’s a wrap, and Grande Lakes Orlando just finished its monthlong Fall on the Farm event. But that doesn’t mean the team is going to take a rest; they’re gearing up for a slew of fun things to do – and delicious things to eat – in November and December, right up to and including the New Year.
Holidays at Grande Lakes are always special, and this year they’ve added a few new things to the roster, including JW Gingerbread Events, JW Gingerbread School and a special New Year’s Eve Dinner at Primo. Here are the details:
JW Gingerbread Events
JW Marriott Children’s Cookie Masterclass invites kids of all ages to decorate delicious holiday cookies with colorful icing and lots of candy toppings under the tutelage of the JW pastry chefs. Kids can warm up to a cup of hot cocoa while the cookies are baking. Cost is $65 per guest, inclusive of 6.5percent tax and for your convenience 22 percent service charge. Dates are December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 27 and 28. Reserve here.
JW Marriott Gingerbread School. This one’s for the adults (21 and up) and includes a festive cocktail show in a loungey atmosphere while couples design, construct and decorate their own gingerbread house. Tickets, sold in twos, are $97 per person and include one cocktail per guest, one gingerbread house, unlimited access to hot cocoa and coffee bar. Additional food and drinks may be ordered from the menu. Dates are December 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 28 and 29. Reserve your tickets here.
Also new this year, Emerald New Year’s Eve at Primo, celebrating the restaurant’s 20th anniversary (emerald is the traditional double-decade gem). The evening will start with hors d’oeuvres and an emerald cocktail, followed by a four-course dinner celebrating dishes from Primo’s past 20 years. There will be a dessert bar and a Champagne toast while you watch the Grande Lakes’ fireworks from Primo’s terrace. Tickets are $250 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reserve at Primo.
