Graffiti Junktion to Replace Memories of India

Written By Scott Joseph On June 6, 2014

Screen Shot 2014-06-06 at 3.21.51 PMThe space vacated only recently by Memories of India in the Bay Hill Plaza on Turkey Lake Road will not stay empty for long. A Graffiti Junktion is slated to open there by the end of the summer.

The “American Burger Bar” that started in downtown Orlando’s Thornton Park in 2009 has been growing steadily. There are currently four company owned restaurants and two franchises. Tom Hughes, one of the original owners, said that the Restaurant Row region GJ will be a franchise but he will be a financial partner in it.

Graffiti Junktion is known for its large gourmet burgers and wild decor and raucous ambience. Hughes said there are also plans to expand to Tampa and Jacksonville Beach. Construction of the latter, he said, is underway with renovations on a former fast food building.

Hughes said he expects to have the Bay Hill Plaza Graffiti Junktion open by the beginning of football season, a popular time for the restaurants.
