Eddie V’s, the seafood restaurant from Darden, will open in Orlando on Sand Lake Road’s Restaurant Row Oct. 24. The restaurant occupies the space where Timpano used to be, at 7488 W. Sand Lake Road, Orlando. Make that the lot where Timpano used to be. When Darden bought the building last year it razed the existing structure to make way for its own design.

Eddie V’s means to do for fish what Darden’s Capital Grille does for meat. It is an upscale seafood restaurant with an elegant and contemporary decor. It will feature live jazz in its V Lounge and nightly happy hours from 4 to 7 p.m.

Eddie V’s website lists only 10 locations, including Orlando,  and most of those are in Texas. Have you been to an Eddie V’s? Are you looking forward to checking this one out?
