They’re going to need a bigger park.
Cows ’n Cabs, the annual fundraising food and drink event spearheaded by John Rivers, took over the West Meadow of Winter Park’s Central Park with a head-spinning 139 food and beverage stations. It was an impressive array, if a bit overwhelming in its scope.
Even more impressive: the event raised $1 million for Central Florida children’s charities. By my estimation, each attendee donated one buck each.
There were a lot of people, a lot of food – too much to try it all – and a lot of elaborate beverage stations, including large lounges sponsored by Tito’s, Patron, Hendrick’s Gin, Woodford Reserve, Crown Royal and others. And two band stages at opposite ends of the massive tent with bands and entertainers.
Check out the slideshow below for some of the sights. And if you missed it this year, mark off Nov. 9, 2024 for next year’s event. I won’t be surprised if it spills out onto Park Avenue.
