Marc Kusche will become the latest Central Florida chef to add “cooked at the James Beard House” to his resume. Kusche, executive chef at the Alfond Inn and Hamilton’s Kitchen, will take over the kitchen in what was once Beard’s townhouse in New York’s Greenwich Village on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.

The theme of Kusche’s dinner is Florida Farmhouse Flavor and it will emphasize his commitment to locally sourced Florida ingredients. The planned menu is below.

Tickets to the event are $130 for James Beard members and $170 for the general public. They may be purchased at 212-627-2308 or through the James Beard website.

Kusche joins a growing list of local chefs who have been invited to cook at the prestigious venue. Besides it being a great honor, cooking at the Beard House is another way to let outsiders (read: New Yorkers) know that Central Florida has many talented chefs.
