First look -- Kouzzina by Cat Cora menus

PDFPrintE-mail

Got a hold of the menus for Kouzzina by Cat Cora, the Iron Chef's new restaurant at Disney's BoardWalk. The mostly Greek eatery takes the place of the more pan-Mediterranean Spoodles. The new restaurant is not officially open and is not even officially in a soft opening.

But it has begun serving in try-out mode. And they are taking walk-ins. If you go, keep in mind that it's sort of like a Broadwayshow doing previews, but I doubt they're doing any discounting.

If you're familiar with Greek food you'll recognize some of the dishes, such as pastisio and stuffed grape leaves. But there are some creative touches, too, as you'd expect from Cora, such as cinnamon stewed chicken and whole fish roasted with braised greens and Greek olives.

Take a look for yourself. Here's Kouzzina breakfast menu and Kouzzina dinner menu and Kouzzina dessert menu. I guess for lunch you're supposed to be off in the theme parks.

I just ate at Cat Cora's new restaurant last night with guests from out of town. I will start by saying it's the worst restaurant I have ever been to at Disney. 1. The service is awful. I can't really put it any other way. Slow! With people who apparently have not been trained in customer service or the art of being a waiter/waitress. 2. The appetizers (3 in total) all came out 20 minutes apart. Well, one was forgotten and we never received it. 3. The food was cold and each person (7 in total) was served separately. Each dish arrived every 5 minutes. The first person was done by the time the last person was served. 4. It's seems to be the same boring Spoodles with a new menu. I was expecting Disney would remodel with the name of Cat Cora as the owner. 5. With so many great restaurants at Disney - just pass this one up.
